Social services

STEA Association is accredited provider of social services in accordance with the Government Decision no. 1024 of June 25, 2004 - Norms for the application of Government Ordinance no. 68/2003 on social services and the methodology for accreditation of providers of social services and the Order no. 383 of 6 June 2005, the Minister of Labour, Social Solidarity and Family - approving the general quality standards for social services and the method of evaluation of their fulfillment by suppliers.

STEA Association seeks to build a bridges between society and vulnerable children/youths/families (homeless children and youth, disadvantaged Roma community members, peoples facing severe social integration problems) respectively, to support the continuing growth of their degree of social inclusion through a complex system of social services including:

1. The Mobile Unit – direct work within vulnerable Roma communities and disadvantages zones of Satu Mare, ensuring crisis intervention, offering help and mediation for acces to services available in the comunity (ID documents, medical services, schooling, social services) and building relationships based on trust necessary for further social intervention;

2. The Day Care Center – daily activities for children, youngsters and parents : literacy, educational activities, counseling (health education, parenting, professional insertion), life skills developing activities, acces to basic services and products (shower, food), horticultural therapy, occupational therapy, social theatre, socio-educative animation, sports and crafts.

3. The Social Apartment – rezidential social services ensuring advanced intervention with youngsters (18-35 years old) supporting life skill developement and labor market integration (getting and keeping a job) and preparing them for a complete social integration when they leave the social apartment.

4. Actions in the local community - anti-discrimination campaigns and activities promoting ative citizenship sustaining social inclusion of vulnerable children/youths/families.
